Colins: Have it all
Colins was the own concept of Colin and Hassan, in their own city of Breda. Not someone else's formula, but a business with its own name, its own seal and its own motto. Built and run for ten years, and concluded with what every entrepreneur secretly dreams of: a successful sale.
For the team, Colins is more than a fond memory. It is the experience of the full entrepreneurial journey, from an idea of their own to the handover, and that experience is in every piece of advice today.
One day, something of our own
Colin and Hassan know each other from the very first Domino's store in the Netherlands, where one delivered and the other learned the trade. Even then they said: one day we'll start something together. With Colins, in their own city of Breda, they made it happen.
Ten years of their own business
Building your own concept is different from running a formula: every choice is yours, from the name and the seal to what is on the menu and how the team works. Colins stood for ten years, and in hospitality that is not luck but work.
The sale as the crown
Colins didn't stop, Colins was sold. Building a business another party wants to take over is the highest proof that the concept works. That final step of the entrepreneurial journey, the handover, Colin and Hassan have taken themselves as well. Curious what that could mean for your business? See what we do with concept development.
The lessons from Colins
- A concept of your own starts with a story of your own: the Colins name, seal and motto were one whole.
- Running a business for ten years teaches you more than writing ten plans; that practice is now in our advice.
- Build your business as if you want to hand it over one day. Then it is ready for sale every single day, even if you stay.
